Bio

Originally from Chile, Paz began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1989 and obtained her California License in 1997. Her specialties include: pain relief, dermatology, digestive issues, asthma and allergies, autoimmune disorders, women's health, and internal medicine. Since 2000, Paz has served as clinic supervisor at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the California Institute of Integral Studies (ACTCM @ CIIS), where she treats patients alongside students. Together they offer several TCM modalities such as acupuncture, cupping, internal and topical herbs, dietary counseling, physical assessments. Paz earned her Acupuncture and TCM degree from the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in Miami. She then studied Western Herbs at Ohlone Herbal Center, and did an apprenticeship at Western Herbs with Karyn Sanders. Since then, Paz has taken courses in Aromatherapy and Perfumery with Jeanne Rose and many courses at California School of Herbal Studies (CSHS). Paz is fluent in English and Spanish.
